Our beloved Frances passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 4th, in San Pedro, CA. Frances was born in Ischia, Italy to Sebastian and Livia Di Iorio (deceased), on March 18th, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bill, and her brother George. Frances is survived by her brothers Anthony (Martha), Giuseppe, John (Maria) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friend Eleanor Di Scala. Frances and her family arrived in New York in July of 1956 and later relocated to San Pedro, California in March of 1957 to be with family and the fishing industry. Frances attended Cabrillo Avenue School, Dana Middle School, San Pedro High School, and LA Harbor College, where she received an Associates Arts Degree in nursing. She was a CCD teacher at Mary Star of the Sea School of Religion. She was also a clerical worker for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Frances had a love for all animals, especially cats. She was a big Dodgers fan and enjoyed being around family and friends. She also loved to help children of all ages. Frances also enjoyed being outdoors, walking, biking, watching a good movie, and listening to nice music. She was a parishioner at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 5 - 7 pm. With a rosary at 7 pm, at McNerney’s Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 11th at 10: 30 am, at Mary Star of the Sea Church. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park. Please sign the guestbook at
